Miscellaneous medical devices are one of major exports in the Taiwanese medical device industry. With the changing times and the structural change in the global medical device market, countries with lower costs of production have started to engage in the production of miscellaneous medical devices. Facing the trend and competition in the industry, Taiwanese manufacturers have recently sought the industrial restructuring and focused on the development of high-end products through the continuous advance in core technologies in order to strengthen competitive advantages and additional values in the global market. The study summarizes the miscellaneous medical device market in Taiwan based on imports and exports in 2015.
