While global economic recovery has been jerky, the worldwide IT service market in 2013 still managed to grow thanks to continued investments in IT infrastructure by the government and enterprises in major markets. Posting a 3.63% growth rate, the worldwide IT service market reached US$732.085 billion in 2013. With the development of cloud services, big data, mobile applications, and social media, IT applications will further diversify. As a result, IT service providers will face more opportunities in niche markets and hence boosting overall market demand. The worldwide IT service market is projected to hit US$877.325 billion in 2017, with a CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) of 4.4% from 2012 to 2017.
