In the second quarter of 2010, the Greek debt crisis and ensuing Euro crisis took their toll on basic demand for notebook PCs in the European market, leading to relatively high inventory levels at distribution channels. The European financial crisis also slightly spilled over to the North American market, affecting the said market's consumer confidence. Nevertheless, the industry's shipment to Asia Pacific, China, and emerging markets continued to enjoy steady growth, bolstering the industry's overall shipment in the second quarter of 2010.
