This report encompasses four major hardware product sectors in the IT (Information Communications Technology) hardware industry, including desktop computer, notebook computer (including mini computer), server, and motherboard sectors.
According to the Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute (MIC), one of the divisions of the Institute for Information Industry (III), production value of the global IT hardware industry reached US$213.2 billion in 2021, an increase of 15.1% compared to US$185.2 billion in 2020. Notebook PC market demand remained high in 2021 with growth momentum coming from the educational notebooks in the first half of 2021 and the increase in shipments of commercial notebook PCs due to the slight easing of COVID-19 in the second half.
