With the signing of the Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement (ECFA) between Taiwan and China, future bilateral trade patterns between both countries will be subject to fundamental changes. In accordance with the research by the government, the signing of ECFA will increase Taiwan’s GDP by 1.65%-1.75%; however, the detailed research concerning ECFA’s impact on each industry reveals that although some industries will profit from the agreement, other industries will be negatively impacted to different extents.
