According to the statistics, the output value of the semiconductor industry in Taiwan in 2014 was about NTD 2.1 trillion, accounting for 21.4% of the global market. In the aspect of the sub-industry, the semiconductor manufacturing and packaging and testing industry in Taiwan ranks first in the world and the semiconductor design ranks second. Figure 1 shows the latest statistical data prepared by SEMI in July 2014.
