After the COVID-19 pandemic in major countries gradually slowed down (with the assistance of vaccine administration, precision medicine approaches and evolved prevention and control measures), the global economy gradually regained its growth momentum in 2021, and most of the major economic institutions predicted that the global economy shall rebound from the 2020 recession. According to the forecasts released by IHS Markit in May, the global economic growth is expected to be 5.7% this year, a sharp upwards from -3.5% in 2020. As the recession in 2020 was the deepest since records began after World War II, and was much worse than the - 1.7% during the 2009 financial crisis, the recovery in 2021 shall be significantly higher than the 4.2% in 2010.
