The scale of the global medical device market in 2014 was USD 340.3 billion. It will reach to USD 405.3 billion in 2017. In summary, the medical device industry shall be focusing on improved medical benefits at reduced costs. The key is to create product value. What is required is not only dealing with critical clinical problems but also improving the value focused medical benefits and value creation centered product innovation by innovative product design, simplified tedious flows of conventional medicine, reduced operation time, and advanced user conveniences.
