Fibre consumption volume used by the textile industry in Taiwan includes the domestic sales volume of man-made fibres as well as the import volume of natural fibres and man-made fibres. As shown in “2012 Industrial Structure of the Textile Industry in Taiwan” surveyed in 2013, the total fire consumption of Taiwan in 2012 reached to 1.606 million tons including 1.234 million tons of man-made fibres for domestic sales, 239,000 tons of natural fibres and 121,000 tons of man-made fibres from import, as well as 12,000 tons of direct-spinning nonwoven fabrics (spun-bonded and melt-blown) for technical application....
