Looking back at 2025, the global electronic components and display industry faced multiple uncertainties, including U.S. tariff policies, geopolitical tensions, and exchange-rate volatility. Nevertheless, continued expansion in AI-related demand accelerated product specification upgrades and emerged as a key driver of industry growth. Under the combined influence of these factors, the global electronic components and display industry reached an output value of approximately US$448.86 billion, representing year-on-year growth of 12.4%. The global PCB industry grew by 14.8% year-on-year, reaching a record-high market size of US$93.55 billion. Growth was primarily driven by rapidly expanding demand for AI infrastructure, which accelerated PCB upgrades toward higher layer counts, higher-frequency and higher-speed transmission, and more advanced materials. As a result, the industry experienced simultaneous growth in both shipment volume and product value. The global passive component market reached US$48.75 billion, up 8.2% from 2024. Growth was primarily supported by the continued expansion of passive component demand associated with AI applications, with AI servers becoming the core growth driver for the industry. As server computing performance and power consumption continue to increase, both the quantity of passive components required per system and demand for higher-specification products have risen accordingly.
