Current Development in Taiwan’s Plastics & Rubber Machinery Industry (2010)

The development of plastics & rubber machinery in Taiwan has a history over 40 years. There are currently 250 plastics and rubber machinery manufacturers with excellent product quality and competitive price. Taiwan receives great attention by buyers both at home and abroad as the R&D level surpasses China and Korea, and even nearly equals to Europe, the United States and Japan. In the beginning, the industry completely relied on imports. However the accumulation of experience in maintenance/repair enabled self-production, which the continuous efforts resulted in today’s achievements. Today the industry possesses international competitiveness and has become Taiwan’s representative machinery industry.
